Women Empowerment and Gender Equality are matters of fundamental human rights and social justice, as well as a pre-condition for sustainable development. This initiative of The Humanity Calls is committed to its goal of women empowerment and gender equality to build a Nation that understands the importance of equal opportunity and inclusion, and whose policies respect diversity.

"Gender equality and women empowerment is the key to the success of Millennium Development Goals. Not only as a specific target, but for the goals in general. Women bear the heavier burden of the world’s poverty than men, because of the discrimination they face in education, healthcare, employment, and control of assets" – Johanna Sigurðardottir.

What could be worse than seeing your loved one suffering from mental health issues amidst the pandemic crisis?

The Covid-19 virus is not just an issue of developing flu and affecting the individual’s physiological state but is beyond that. Social and self-isolation, Bereavement, loss of job, fear, and the grief of losing a loved one are triggering and exacerbating a variety of mental health conditions. Individuals with pre-existing mental health conditions are highly vulnerable to serious undesirable outcomes.

Human rights are inherent to us all, regardless of nationality, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, language, or any other status. They range from the most fundamental - the right to life - to those that make life worth living, such as the rights to food, education, work, health, and liberty.

The Human Rights Initiative aims to spread awareness about Human Rights & Laws among Unorganised Sector Workers. Creating dialogue, improving knowledge, and addressing Human Rights is the main agenda of this initiative.

We believe that a right delayed is a right denied and are here to stand with those who are deprived of this entitlement. The two major campaigns under this initiative are   #StandUp4MigrantRights, #StandwithGigWorkers.
